AR product preview for furniture & lighting showrooms

The single most expensive moment in a showroom is the walk-in who loves a piece, then says “let me think about it” — and never comes back. AR product preview closes that gap by letting the customer see the exact chandelier or sofa, at true scale, in their own room, before they leave.

The “let me think about it” problem

High-ticket home goods — a crystal chandelier, a three-seater sofa, a marble-look tile — are bought with hesitation. The customer can love a piece on your floor and still not be able to picture it at home: Will the chandelier be too big over our dining table? Does the sofa fit the living room? Will that finish work with our floor? That uncertainty is what “let me think about it” really means. Once they leave the showroom, the doubt wins more often than not.

Renders and catalogue photos don’t solve it, because they show the product in someone else’s room, not the customer’s. What removes the doubt is seeing the piece, at its real size, in the exact space it’s going to live in.

What AR product preview actually is

AR (augmented reality) product preview places a true-scale 3D model of your product into a live view of the customer’s own room through their phone camera. They can walk around it, see it from every angle, and judge the size against their real furniture and ceiling height — the same way they would if you’d delivered it on approval, but in thirty seconds and at no risk to you.

How it works — no app, just a link

  1. You photograph the product. A few angles on a phone camera is enough.
  2. Aayami builds a true-scale 3D twin. A human checks every model — materials, proportions, finish — before it goes live.
  3. You share one link. Send it on WhatsApp. The customer opens it in their browser, taps “View in your room”, and places the product at real size in their own space. No app to install.

Why it closes big-ticket sales

What you need to start

Just clear photos of a product and its approximate dimensions. Start with a single bestseller — the piece customers most often hesitate on — turn it into a shareable AR preview, and use it on your next few walk-ins. Because Aayami is pay-as-you-use (priced per model), there’s no subscription to commit to before you’ve seen it work.

Frequently asked questions

Does the customer need to install an app?

No. The link opens in any modern phone browser and uses the phone’s built-in AR — Scene Viewer on Android and Quick Look on iOS — so there’s nothing to download.

How accurate is the scale?

Models are built to true real-world dimensions, and a human checks proportions, materials and finish before the model goes live, so the customer sees the product at its real size in their room.

What does a showroom need to get started?

A few clear photos of the product from several angles and its approximate size. Aayami builds the true-scale 3D twin and gives you one shareable link per product.

What does it cost?

Aayami is pay-as-you-use, priced per 3D model (model credits), so you can start with one bestseller rather than committing to a subscription.
